About Georgia Afterschool Services

The Georgia Department of Human Services (DHS) Afterschool Care Program is an initiative that provides support to the community based organizations and public agencies that serve youth during the out of school time hours.

The Department is interested in developing a vast network of funded service providers among a diverse group that will cover the 17 DFCS regions of the state. Geographic locations and programmatic needs of particular communities determine the number of service providers that are awarded contracts.
